01 — Who you're talking to
Every physician on Consult holds a US medical license and is board-certified in their specialty. They went to medical school. They did residencies. They are the same doctors you'd see at a top clinic — they just happen to prefer helping patients this way. You can read their credentials before your visit starts.

02 — Getting what you need
If a prescription is clinically appropriate, your doctor writes it during the visit. It goes straight to the pharmacy of your choice — including 24-hour locations. Most patients have their prescription filled within 90 minutes of opening the app. Controlled substances follow federal law and aren't available through telemedicine.

03 — What it costs
A standard visit is $65 with no insurance. Most major insurance plans cover Consult visits at the same rate as an in-person copay — often $10–$25. HSA and FSA cards are always accepted. No surprise bills. The price you see before you start is the price you pay.

04 — Your privacy
Yes — and we're unusually specific about it. Consult is fully HIPAA-compliant. Your conversation with your doctor is encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't sell data. We don't share with your employer. We don't run ads based on your conditions. You can delete your entire record in one tap.
05 — How fast, really
The average wait across all Consult visits is under 8 minutes. At 2 a.m. on a Tuesday, it's usually under 4. We staff physicians around the clock in every time zone. If the wait ever exceeds 15 minutes, you'll see a live countdown and can opt for a callback instead of waiting on screen.

Patient Stories
My daughter had a rash at 1:30 a.m. I described it, sent a photo, and a pediatrician called me back in six minutes. She had a diagnosis and a prescription sent to the 24-hour CVS down the street. I didn't have to wake anyone up or sit in an ER.

I work remotely in a small town in Montana. The nearest dermatologist is 94 miles away and has a 3-month waitlist. I described a mole on my shoulder, the doctor looked at it on camera, and referred me to a specialist with an urgent flag. Turned out to be nothing, but they caught it in two days, not three months.

I manage Type 2 diabetes and I dread the waiting room more than the condition itself. With Consult, I check in with my doctor every three weeks without leaving my desk. My A1C has been better this year than any year I was doing in-person visits.
